Standing Rotator Cuff Exercise Tip
|
|
Does it just drive you crazy when you are teaching the standing cable
external and internal rotation exercise and you’re client keeps abducting
their arm while they are doing it? Well if this is happening and you want them
to stabilize their arm while executing the exercise try the following:
- Fold
a gym towel into a small rectangle roughly 2 inches thick or thick enough so
it places the client’s elbow directly under their shoulder when placed
between their elbow and their body.
- Place
the towel between the elbow and the body and tell the client to not let the
towel drop when completing their set. They should only be placing light
stress on the towel to hold it in place.
- Presto!
